The production process of oatmeal
The process of making oatmeal is a complex and intricate technique that involves multiple steps to ensure the quality and taste of the final product. The following are the main steps in making oatmeal:
1. Raw material processing: Firstly, it is necessary to select high-quality oat grains and clean them to remove impurities and dust.
2. Cleaning: Use equipment such as initial cleaning machines, vibrating screens, peelers, and iron removers to clean and remove lighter debris, stones, heavy particles, as well as grass seeds and foreign grains.
3. Shedding: Use equipment such as impact offline and circular suction separators to shell, remove the husks, and separate the clean oat grains.
4. Hydrothermal treatment: In order to prevent the action of fat degrading enzymes, a 100 ℃ water or steam regulating machine is used to kill the enzymes, and then a kiln dryer is used to remove some moisture and cool the seeds.
5. Grain cutting: Cut oat grains into 3-4 segments for subsequent processing.
6. press pressing: Grind oats for gelatinization treatment, humidify and heat them, form uniform oatmeal in a double roll press, then dry them in a vulcanizing bed to reduce the moisture content to 11%, and finally remove clumps and fine particles by shaking and sieving.
7. Drying and Cooling: Dry the pressed oatmeal to reduce its moisture content to below 10%, and then cool it to room temperature.
8. Packaging: Use materials with good air tightness such as aluminum plated film, polypropylene bags, etc. for packaging to maintain the freshness and taste of oatmeal.
In addition, some oatmeal also undergoes steps such as skin whitening, cleaning, and spin drying during the production process, as well as adding seasonings and other ingredients such as sugar, dried fruits, nuts, etc., to increase product diversity and taste.
